This is a subscription, and the licence extends your current TZ400 or TZ400W appliance so you can later purchase one of the SonicWall TZ400 Family (Gen 7 TZ470 or next-get equivalent - possibly called the TZ480?) via the Secure Upgrade (Appliance Only) with no Attached Subscription (Existing SonicWall Customers Only).
The TZ400 goes End of Support on 16th April 2026, and the TZ400W goes End of Support on 1st August 2026; so you would need to upgrade the hardware before those dates.
